We are Wave Nine, the not-so-typical consultancy from Silicon Valley that practices startup spirit and speed. Together with our strategic partner WorkBoard, Inc., we bring purpose to employees and results to companies. Based on a framework called Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), we help companies gain competitive advantage through high alignment on purpose, strong focus, and transparency. We combine consulting services with a category-defining software platform backed by leading investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Microsoft, and Softbank.

To complement our growing team, we are looking for a Video Editor/ Graphic Designer who will not just sit on the sidelines. You will create long-term value for Wave Nine by driving our content operations. We practice new work and plan to continue working remotely.

The Job – What you will do

• Work with the team to ensure content is consistent with brand guidelines and meets audience expectations.
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
• Apply creativity, technical, and storytelling skills to create visually compelling content.
• Monitor and analyze key metrics related to video performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead post production work such as live action editing, visual effects, colour grading, sound design and basic animation.
• Maximise and repurpose raw rushes in our content library to create new edits, creative assets, cutdowns and reformatted versions.
• Champion efficient, organised ingesting of footage and filing for raw assets and exports.
• Support the successful delivery of video content from start to finish.
• Create engaging content using video clips
• Communicate your thinking through storyboards or treatment decks.
• Stay up to date with the latest in tooling and workflow processes in the video editing world.

• Clear and concise communication: In a small team, it’s crucial that everyone is on the same page. We need someone who can communicate effectively and concisely, whether it’s through emails, Slack messages, or in-person discussions.
