    Introduction

    Welcome to the 3rd guide of our 4-guide series: “The Ultimate Step-by-Step Guide to Your OKR Program - Phase 3: Focus and Measure.” This phase is quite exciting - this is where you achieve results!

    In this guide, you will focus on finding and solving problems, making action plans, and learning how to use the WorkBoard platform. This also means, you’ll learn how to put your plans into action, run efficient meetings, and regularly check your progress. You’ll also learn what to do when problems come up. By following this guide, you can be sure you’ll reach your goals and keep moving forward faster! So, get ready to become an OKR master and make your organization excellent.

    We still have a last guide coming up, so stay tuned! In the last part, Phase 4: “Reflect and Reset,” we’ll give you smart tips for looking back at what you’ve done, seeing how well you did, and setting new goals for even more success!
    If you’re new to OKRs or if you have missed the first two guides about starting out, you don’t have to worry! But we still suggest you go check them out! You’ll understand OKRs and how to get started with the OKR framework better. Especially if you are in charge of making sure things run smoothly (such as CEOs, COOs, or Business Process Owners of OKR Programs).

    What are we going to learn?

    The third phase of the OKR program, called Focus and Measure, is critical to success as it is where results are achieved.
    In this phase, we will focus on identifying and addressing risks, creating action plans, and providing training on the WorkBoard platform.
    We will also be executing our action plans and holding regular meetings and check-ins to track progress and address any risks that may arise.

    By following these steps, we can ensure that we are successfully achieving our KRs and making progress towards our long-term goals.

    Phase 3: Focus and Measure

    1. Highlight Risks
    Be proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues before they become bigger problems.
    2. Action Plan
    Break down your KRs into smaller, achievable tasks and projects and assign them to team members (KR owners).
    3. Weekly Meetings
    Regular check-ins can help you stay on track and identify any roadblocks.

    Make sure all stakeholders have the knowledge and skills they need to effectively manage the OKR program.

    Organize Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions to provide a guilt-free and psychologically safe space for teams to ask questions and learn from each other about OKRs, the WorkBoard platform, and the OKR process.
    7. Platform Drip Comms
    Use platform drip communication to remind teams of and introduce critical OKR behaviors, to keep momentum high and prevent “set and forget” behavior.

    Make sure you’re taking action towards achieving your KRs.
    8. WorkBoard Pro Training
    Train pro users in WorkBoard to fully understand and use all its features and functions to set and track OKRs, collaborate with team members, and drive business results.

    Step 1: Highlight Risks

    Imagine you’re driving a car and you see a red light up ahead. You might think,
    “Uh, better slow down and figure out what’s going on.”
    That’s kind of like what we’re doing with the BPO and Coach Community here. They’re looking out for any red flags or warning signs that might come up during the localization process. These could be things like a lack of resources or pushback from certain teams.

    By spotting these risks early on, we can better prepare and increase our chances of success with our OKR program.

    Step 2: Action Plan

    It’s time to turn your KRs into a plan of action.
